FYI: There will be a weekend concert on Sept. 18 that will affect the available parking for pier patrons. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 17, the only entrance to pier parking will be at the Alf Coleman entrance at the far east end of the parking lot. The entire west half of the lot will be blocked for the event. The pier will be open the entire time for fishermen and spectators. This is the last concert in this series.
BAY COUNTY LAUNCHES CONCERTS IN THE PARK SERIES
Series to showcase local parks
Panama City, FL – Bay County Parks and Recreation invites the community to enjoy live music, local food trucks and family-friendly fun during the 2026 Concerts in the Park series. The six-month series highlights county parks and local musicians while bringing residents together to experience the beauty and amenities of Bay County’s park system.
“This series was created to showcase our parks while giving families a reason to come out and enjoy them together,” Bay County Commissioner Robert Carroll said. “Music, food and community go hand in hand, and we’re excited to see our parks come alive this summer with energy, entertainment and opportunities for residents to connect.”

Thursday 03rd. water temp 87.3 NW 2-5mph in the a.m. / 87.1 NE 2-6mph. The water was clean. There was a small King Mackerel caught in the morning. A few Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish and Hardtails were caught throughout the day. Live bait was available in the morning but was scarce in the afternoon.
Friday: water temp 86.5 ENE 5- 7mph in the a.m. / 86.7 ENE 3-7mph in the p.m. The water was clean. Chuck O. got a nice 30-inch Red Drum this morning on a large live Sand Flea. There were a few Spanish Mackerel and Ladyfish caught. Lots of Hardtails were decked. There were a few Cigar minnows in the morning, but they were scarce in the afternoon,
Saturday: water temp 85.8 NE 3-7mph in the a.m. / 87.3 W 5-8mph in the p.m. The water was clean. A couple of Spade fish, one chicken Mahi and Hardtails this morning. Shane and Brandon got into the Spade fish and put a lot of them on the deck. One Mangrove Snapper and more Hardtails this afternoon. There were a few Cigar minnows for live bait.
Sunday: water temp 86.4 N 4-5mph in the a.m. / 8807 WSW 11-15mph wind in the p.m. The water was clean. Hardtails and small Ladyfish were the common catches. One Barracuda was caught on a live Hardtail. There was a short Spanish Mackerel run late in the afternoon. Jared M. was casting a #100 Mag Speed lure about 6:40 when it got chomped. After a good fight he brought this 41.4 pound “Smoker” King Mackerel to the gaff on 15-pound braid. Congratulations Jared on a fish of a lifetime! A few live bait were available.
Monday: water temp 87.1 SSE 12-15mph in the a.m. / 88.9 S wind 6-10mph in the p.m. The water was clean. There were a few Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish and Hardtails caught. Cigar minnows were around but tough to get.
Tuesday: water temp 87.4 ENE 7-10 in the a.m. / 87.6 ENE 8-13mph in the p.m. The water was clean. It was a slow day with only a few Ladyfish, some Hardtails, A couple small Jacks and a Spanish Mackerel. There were a few Cigar minnows available for live bait.
Wednesday 09th. water temp 86.4 ENE 8-13mph in the a.m./87.4 ESE 8-15mph in the p.m. Fishing was very slow today. There were lots of small Jacks this morning. Ladyfish and Hardtails were the only other catches. There were some Cigar minnows and a few Spanish Sardine for live bait but you had to work for them.
Red Tide status: As of the latest FWC update, Karenia brevis (red tide) is at background levels in Northwest Florida, with no harmful blooms reported.
